March 17, 2025 - Hold and Secure in Response to Threatening Phone Message

Dear Eckville Elementary and Jr./Sr. High School Parents/Guardians:

I am writing to inform you that a Hold and Secure was initiated at our schools this afternoon (March 17, 2025) in response to a threatening phone call made to both schools.  Exterior doors were locked, and students were kept inside the school for the remainder of the day.  Classes and activities at the schools continued as they normally would.

Please be assured that the safety and well-being of our students and staff are our highest priorities, and everyone remained safe throughout the incident.The matter has been reported to the RCMP for further investigation.
