Students will need to pack a bag lunch and should also bring a water bottle. There may be an opportunity to purchase food and drinks as well, but please make sure they have adequate food to get them through the day, as well as a snack for the ride home.
The WE Day movement is about youth empowerment, here is some of the information from the organization:
“WE Day is an unparalleled event, a celebration of next-level doing good. It’s where youth from all over the country prove that when they harness their beliefs, their passion and their energy, they are an unstoppable force for good. It’s an extraordinary community of difference-makers who are raising the bar and setting a new standard for what it means to make a difference locally and globally. This season, WE Day is using lessons from the past, challenges of the now, and hope for the future to inspire and encourage youth to make sustainable impacts. WE Day will guide youth through six different missions to provide them with the skills and knowledge they need in order to be certified “WE Superheroes”. The missions cover a wide variety of social issues and topics, from self-acceptance to poverty and social entrepreneurship to climate change, led by incredible speakers.”
